FAQ

What you've been dying to know...

  • Our first ever Halloween takeover. Scary Dog Central is Prairie Dog Central Railway’s Halloween takeover, featuring two different experiences: Family Fun Halloween Adventure and the after-dark Train of Terror.

  • Both experiences begin at Inkster Junction, where guests will check in and board the train before heading out on their Halloween adventure. The Inkster Junction Station is located at 64099 Prairie Dog Trail in Rosser, MB.

  • Family Fun Halloween Adventure is designed for families and fans of a not-so-scary Halloween. Although there will still be spooky decor. You know your children's tolerance best. Train of Terror is intended for guests looking for a more intense and frightening experience. Our recommendation for Train of Terror is for ages 14+.

  • The train ride to our festival grounds is approximately 90 minutes. The stop over is approximately 90 minutes followed by our 90 minute ride back to the station.

  • Our platform is open one hour prior to departure. Guests should plan to leave time to park, enjoy our free photo-booth, meet characters, grab snacks, check in and make your way to the boarding area.

  • Unfortunately, it is not. The coaches were constructed in the early 1900s and the doorways and aisle ways are too narrow to accommodate wheelchairs.  However, if a person does not require a wheelchair for total mobility, and can climb three to four stairs while being aided by our onboard staff, they are more than welcome.  Their wheelchair will be safely transported in our Baggage Car and made available for their use at the station stopover.

  • There are no refunds/exchanges allowed once tickets are purchased.

  • We are sorry but we only admit registered service animals.

  • Our beautifully restored wooden passenger coaches were built in the early 1900s and are not equipped with air conditioning or heat. We recommend dressing appropriately for the day's weather to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
